The Museum of Byzantine Culture Hosts Lysistrata

The Museum of Byzantine Culture will host Lysistrata by Aristophanes on Saturday, 13 June 2026, at 20:30, in its Atrium. The performance will be presented by the Acting Class of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. Admission is free to the public.
The event forms part of the Museum’s outreach activities and its ongoing collaboration with cultural institutions of the city.
Aristophanes’ timeless comedy, centred on the pursuit of peace and the power of collective action, will be performed by students of the Acting Class of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki under the direction of Sofia Karakantza. The production is based on the translation by Kostas Tachtsis and the adaptation by Lina Nikolakopoulou, while the songs draw on musical material by Stamatis Kraounakis
