On Saturday, 29 August, the Museum of Byzantine Culture will host the Central Gala of the 7th Thessaloniki Tango Party, the international dance festival taking place in Thessaloniki from 26 to 31 August 2026.
From 20:00 to 01:00, dancers and lovers of Argentine tango will gather in the Museum’s atmospheric atrium for a grand milonga, with music by TDJs Pablito, Juan Manuel Pinazo and Tiffany. During the evening, Pablito & Efi will also present their Tango Story Show.
The Thessaloniki Tango Party is organised by SYZOI, in collaboration with the cultural organisations Tango Secrets and TangoThessaloniki.com, bringing together dance, international cultural exchange and social solidarity. Donations made by participants support the work of SYZOI for people with visual impairments and additional disabilities.
Admission to the event is free. Those wishing to take an active part in the dancing may register by making a donation to SYZOI.
By hosting the festival’s Central Gala, the Museum of Byzantine Culture once again opens its atrium to a contemporary cultural event that brings together people from Greece and abroad, while connecting culture with social participation and solidarity.
