The Embassy of Mexico in Greece and the School of History and Archeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki co-organizes the workshop “Mexican Culture meets Modern Greece: Archeology, History, Art and Food”, which includes the participation of Mexican archaeologist Diego De Santiago, who has recently worked on the recovery of archaeological sites discovered during the construction of the Mayan Train in the states of Quintana Roo, Campeche and Yucatan.

This event inaugurates the program of cultural activities to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and Mexico, which is commemorated in 2024. The Embassy has dedicated a special place to Archaeology in the commemorative program as Greece and Mexico are cradles of millenary civilizations that have left vestiges that continue to fascinate de world.
