Admission fee: 4 euros
Reduced fee: 2 euros for E.U. senior
citizens (over 65 years old), students
from countries outside the E.U.
Free entrance: visitors under 19 years old,
students from E.U. countries, admission
card holders (Free Entrance Card, Culture Card, ICOM, ICOMOS), journalists, guides,
soldiers.
Entrance is free to all visitors on the following days:
· 6 March (Memory of Melina Mercouri)
· 18 April (International Monument Day)
· 18 May (International Museum Day)
· 5 June (World Environment Day)
· the last weekend of September (European Days of Cultural Heritage)
· every Sunday of from November 1st to 31st of March
· the first Sunday of April, May, June, September and October (in case this is an official holiday, it is the second Sunday of that month).
· Greek official holidays during which the Museum remains open: 6 January, Orthodox Good Friday (12:00 - 15:00), Orthodox Easter Saturday and Monday, Orthodox Monday of the Holy Spirit, 15 August, 28 October.
Entrance is free on the days celebrating Open Days and the European Spring of the Museums according to the dates set each year.

Museum Shop
|
In the Museum's shop, various books and digital publications are available, as well as accurate copies of archaeological artefacts or objects inspired by decorative themes seen on the Museum's exhibits.

Museum Cafe
|
In the Museum's facilities there is a fully equipped cafe.
In the city center, in one of the most
beautiful buildings of public
architecture created in Greece in the
last years, the Cafe-Restaurant "B"
offers with style coffee, pastry and
light meals in the morning, while in the
evening one can enjoy a drink and
exquisite dishes, accompanying them with
Macedonian wines.

Free entrance card
|
The card that permits free entrance for 3 years is issued to graduates of Architectural, Archaeological and Historical Studies, teachers in all educational levels and members of the Hellenic Arts Chamber.
The issuing requires showing the relevant certificates, two passport photos and filling in a form at the Museum.

Photo- and video- shooting copyright
|
Photo shooting without flash and video shooting of the building and exhibitions for non-professional purposes are permitted for free.
Professional photography and recording for commercial or other purposes requires a special permit and a fee submitted to the National Archaeological Receipts Fund. The permit is issued after a relevant form is filled in at the Museum's premises.

Permit to export abroad contemporary icons and artefacts
|
A confirmation that contemporary icons and artefacts designated for exportation from the Hellenic Republic do not constitute national heritage is issued on - the - day, on the completion of a relevant form, in which a list of the works should be attached.

Student internships
|
The Museum of Byzantine Culture allows students of conservation of works of art to undertake work experience projects in its conservation laboratories.
