Lectures in the Museum of Byzantine Culture

The Friends’ Association of the Museum of Byzantine Culture in cooperation with the Museum of Byzantine Culture organize at the amphitheatre “Melina Mercouri” of the Museum the following two lectures:
1. Thursday, 29 February 2024, hours 19:00-21:00.
Speaker: Mr. Anastassios Tantsis, Associate Professor of Byzantine Archaeology (AUTh) and member of the Board of directors of the Museum. Title of the lecture: “Elements of Byzantine Archaeology from the cities and the towns of the Decapolis in Jordan”.
2. Thursday, 14 March 2024, hours 19:00-21:00
Speaker: Dr. Agathoniki Tsilipakou, General Director of the Museum of Byzantine Culture. Title of the lecture: “Military saints in Byzantium. Iconography and Ideology (through the Collection of Icons of the Museum of Byzantine Culture)”.
