The Museum of Byzantine Culture participates in the celebration of International Museum Day 2025 by implementing on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 12:00, an action, entitled “The Digital Museum of Byzantine Culture”. This is an action of a thematic tour by an archaeologist of the Museum through the permanent exhibition, which highlights the applications of augmented reality and 360° projection of selected exhibits, which the Museum has for its visitors. The applications were created within the framework of the implementation of the project “The Digital Museum of Byzantine Culture: from image to experience. Actions to enhance the interaction and the experience of visiting the Museum of Byzantine Culture”, of the Operational Program “Central Macedonia 2014-2020”, https://www.mbp.gr/syntelestes/. Visitors will have the opportunity, through their mobile phones, to perceive the use and original form of the exhibits as well as to approach their invisible details.

On May 18, International Museum Day, entrance to the Museum of Byzantine Culture and the White Tower is free.
