Extension of the White Tower’s opening hours until 21:00

The Museum of Byzantine Culture informs the public that, for the first time, the opening hours of the White Tower are being extended to 21:00 daily, from 8 August until 1 November 2026.

The extended hours give residents and visitors of Thessaloniki the opportunity to discover the city’s emblematic monument and its permanent exhibition during the afternoon and evening hours as well.

The visit concludes on the White Tower’s balcony, at the city’s most distinctive vantage point, from where visitors can enjoy the late afternoon and sunset, with a panoramic view over the Thermaic Gulf, the seafront promenade, and the city’s skyline.

The White Tower thus remains open longer, inviting the public to combine an encounter with Thessaloniki’s history with one of the most beautiful summer experiences the city has to offer.
