The Museum of Byzantine Culture participates for another year in the “Green Cultural Routes” of the Directorate of Archaeological Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programs of the Ministry of Culture and highlights the plant world through its exhibits and gardens. This year’s actions include:

Educational program

Educational program in the gardens and galleries of the Museum for students of 4th, 5th and 6th class of elementary schools, titled “Discovering the plant world of the Museum of Byzantine Culture”. Students will approach the form and symbolism of plants in Byzantine art through the objects of the permanent exhibition.

Thematic tour

Thematic tour through the Museum’s galleries with the aim of highlighting the presence of the plant world on objects of the permanent exhibition, organized by a Museum archaeologist. Visitors will approach the form and symbolism of plants in Byzantine art through the objects of the permanent exhibition.

Telephone reservation is required at 2313306422 (Mon.-Fri., 09:00 to 14:00). A priority order will be observed.

Entrance to the Museum will be free for participants in the actions.
