Entrance for all the visitors to the archaeological sites, museums and monuments owned by the State is free on the following days:
1. Every first Sunday of the month from the 1st of November until the 31st of March.
2. On the National holiday of the 28th of October.
3. On the 18th of April (International Day of Monuments).
4. On the 18th of May (International Day of Museums).
5. During the weekend of European Days of Cultural Heritage (last weekend of September on each year).
6. On the 6th of March (Memory of Melina Mercouri).

1.young people aged up to 18 years on presentation of their ID card or their passport for the confirmation of their age.
2. students of Universities, Technological Educational Institutions, Military Schools or equivalent schools of the State-Members of the EU and students of Guides’ Schools on presentation of their student ID.
3. employees of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and of the Archaeological Receipts Fund on presentation of their service card.
4. holders of a special card, which proves that they are members of the ICOM and ICOMOS, on presentation of it.
5. guides on presentation of their professional ID.
6. teachers, who accompany pupils of Primary and Secondary schools, and professors, who accompany students. Also teachers, who accompany students of Military Schools.
7. members of Societies and Associations of Friends of Museums and Archaeological Sites on presentation of their certified card.
8. policemen of the Department of Antiquities of the Directorate of Security.
9. the official guests of the Greek State after approval of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage.
10. the free entry card holders.
11. disabled persons (67% and more) and one escort on presentation of a disability certificate of the Ministry of Health or of a medical opinion of a public institution, upon which the disability will be clearly written and its percentage will be equally plainly stated.
12. Parents of three or more children, on presentation of certificate that proves their family condition.
13. single parent families with underage children on presentation of a certificate from the Municipality. In case of divorced parents, only the parent, who has the custody of children.
14. holders of an active unemployment card.
15. holders of a solidarity card.

16. journalists,  on presentation of their press ID

17. the member of the of the Hellenic Chamber of Visual Arts or of similar Chambers of the E.U. countries, on presentation of their membership card. 

1. students of Universities, Technological Educational Institutions or of equivalent Schools of States, which do not belong to the EU on presentation of their student ID.
2. greek and EU senior citizens (65+) on presentation of valid ID or passport.
3. parents, who accompany children during the educational visits of their Primary schools.

1. members of the Central Councils and of the Local Councils of Monuments of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
2. members of Boards and Directors of Organizations supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
3. teachers of Primary and Secondary Schools and professors of Universities (active, nationals and foreigners).
4. graduates of Departments of History and Archaeology of the Universities and of Architecture Schools and Art Schools. Moreover graduates of Schools of Conservation Science – and conservators of antiquities in general. The above Schools may be either Greek or equivalent ones of the state-members of the EU. The postgraduate diploma holders and the Ph.D. holders of the above Schools have also the same privilege.  
5. the Museum Studies graduates of Greek Universities or of equivalent Schools of the state-members of the EU and the postgraduate diploma holders and the Ph.D. holders of the above Schools.
6. Directors and members of the Foreign Archaeological Schools in Greece.
7. the retired employees of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and of the Archaeological Receipts Fund.
 8. the contract staff of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and of the Archaeological Receipts Fund.

In case that you are a teacher, you should bring a confirmation, from which your employment relationship becomes evident.
3. Two (2) photographs.
If you want to renew your free admission card, you should bring one (1) photo and your old free admission card with you.
