The conservation was followed by an exhibition in the Gallery room of FAATH and the publication of the temporary exhibition's catalogue.\r\n\r\nThe church was erected according to the plans made by X. Paionidis at the beginning of the 20th century, outside the east walls of Thessaloniki, where a cemetery of palaeochristian period was situated.\r\n\r\nThe collection consisted of 26 icons (11 with a metallic standing and 15 with a wooden standing), 1 metallic monstrance, 1 artwork on canvas (oil paintinf of Periklis Lytras), 1 epitaphios and 1 ecclesiastical piece of furniture carved on wood.\r\n\r\nThe conservation regarded consolidation, cleaning and aesthetic retouching. Also, the conservation workshop of icons of the Museum of Byzantine Culture initiated a reasearch for the identification of the materials used in the artworks in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, the department of Solid State Physics, School of Physics and the Laboratory of Structures, School of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In the context of this research a dissertation of the undergraduate student, Anastasia Rousaki, department of Solid State Physics, School of Physics was also
